Why am I not at .552 CPM.
I’m at .51 with 17 years experience with all endorsements and a perfect driving record.
    Why????????????

Longevity pay, the more years you're there the higher the per mile.

The payscale likely includes Shaffer and Hunt drivers, who get paid a few CPM more.

Also, company-longetivity pay raises are also performance based over time. You have to average a certain number of miles per week on average to qualify. I cannot recall the number off the top of my head.

Most OTR driver get home around 12 times a year.
It’s one of the few gypsy lifestyle jobs a person can do.
But if a person wants to be home every day or even every week then OTR would be a terrible career choice.
And never turn your nose up at an OTR driver and think you’re better than them because you’re home every day because they’re thinking about what an unlucky ####### you are going home to that #### wife and retard kid of yours.

FYI...I work for Crete. If I’m going to be on the road 300 plus days a year I expect to make at least that.

I love the dotted line!!! I luv dumping 1K in my bank every week. I luv not being owned. I say that because I have enough money to sit on the beach for years and not work. And still be financially well. Any OTR guy should be able to say the same. I also luv my storage unit. You must enjoy it for it to work
