Gotta give a shout-out to that working man of mine....HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY !!!!, drive safe and we will celebrate your old age when you get home. Wishing we were spending your special day with you but we'll have a steak and some cowballs FOR you.....love ya plenty !!!!
Hi qwkmouse, I think you are the significant other of the body in the truck with my hubby. I am also considering team driving and I am going to spend some time with my husband to see the ins, outs, and arounds of OTR life. I speak with him every night but the true test for me would be spending time in the cab constantly. It'll be a few more weeks b/4 I get a taste of "The Truckers Life" so I am a bit anxious. I have worked with my husband in several places b/4 so the company would be most comforting but I still have yet to learn about specifics of new drivers and teaming. Let me know what you find out and I will do the same for you.
Aloha
Feeling u'r pain widow....I know how trying it is to care for children by yourself. I do wish that all goes well and with the least amount of pain and problems. Take care and I hope your time at the ER is short and sweet.
Aloha
Look at all my posts, like I was gone for weeks without a pc or something.......phew!!
Hi Jess, looking for feedback on coolers for the cab....please let me know your opinions and recommendations. Also looking for any help with neccessities as accessories in the cab that would help with making the man feel at home. Appreciate all your help and advice. Thanks in advance........Aloha !!

Hi Tina, Good to hear from you!!

Power inverter, to run a real coffee maker, toaster, Microwave, cooler we have a Coleman (old school 2001) before they got cheap and nasty!
You can pick up a 12 volt cooler at wally world.(They don't seem to last long) we have had 5 coolers in the last year, we are thinking about just paying the extra money and getting the Peterbilt Fridge!
When I go out next time we will have the XBox in the truck, toaster oven, and slow cooker it gets expensive eating out all the time, I did buy a microwave egg poacher and omelette maker thingy and will let you know how they work lol.
JJ has a sirius radio, Flat screen TV, Garmin and CB up front and connections for his cell phone charger and headset and Ipod, we also both have our laptops with us.
We try get to Wally world once a week to stock up.cubby_tina Thanks this. -
Hello Everyone,
2 more day's to go and I should be on the truck with the famous JJRanch.
Things are going slow these last couple of day's. We do a lot of hurry-up and wait. Looks like we are going to finish school with 15 out of 42 students.
They had a class start today so I believe they are still hiring students. I do know for a fact however that they don't want anyone with experience.
To all the newbies reading I will say that over all my experience with Central has been very positive so far. The instructor's are very knowledgeable and helpful. They teach you a ton of stuff in a very limited time. My only small complaint would be that they could streamline their time management a little. Have a good evening everyone.
Sorry to hear about the little one widow. Hope everything works out for ya. -
Try not to be to bored dockrat, it will be over before you know it. as for time management i can sympathize because today jess and i were stuck at the albertsons distribution center for around 3 1/2 hours over a OS&D claim because albersons refused 6 cases because of the expiration date and Nestle wanted to take their sweet time deciding on what to do with them and finally decided to donate them to a local food bank. so much for my last day of home time. I will be in WVC tomarrow evening and doing the trainer course on wednesday so i will try and get a hold of you tomarrow night or sometime during the day on wednesday JJRanch.
You have gotten more weekly miles than i have. Maybe you should be buying me things i could use the following,
1.New peterbilt fridge
2. chicken lights for the side and a new rear led turn signal.
3. a stoage box for my chains
4. a trucker GPS
5. a new trailer.
6. while you are at it you can pay off my truck.
I think that will do for now but if i think of anything else mr money bags i will let you know.

Look forward to meeting you, tragic magic; I still have to give my notice at work, I'm waiting as close to two weeks as possible. I may wait and come the following week on june 8th; just because we get paid vacations, and if I leave the day after mermorial day they probably won't give me my 200 bucks.
I'm coming from the west coast and I get to ride the bus!!
It's all good!! -
Yea, I would definately grab that 200 bucks! I blew my vacation last month in Florida! LOL It was worth it though!!
-
Since you boys are buying stuff I could use a fridge for the house! Mine did and I hate using the cooler.
Update on our oldest she is gonna be fine just really sore for a few days. She made all stars practice starts tonight! Any owner ops that need a tax right off her team would gladly accept sny donations. And that would free up money for a new fridge. Lololo -
JJ's home time is over and he is heading into Boise ID to pick up his load.
It was a nice few days.
Dockrat good luck with your training! -
Jess, I'm already getting yelled at for claiming MY laptop coming with me because my daughters laptop is displaying the infamous blue screen of death lately and they are obsessed with MySpace. Too bad, so sad. I am checking around for coolers and would love a combo microwave so I don't need space to microwave & toaster oven, would certainly make his meal planning easier. I guess it would depend on the truck they issue him, for space that is. We used to drink coffee that was pre-measured, cream & sugar included. I liked it alot for the convenience and it tasted pretty darn good. The only place I know to get it is Hawaii but I got the hook up. Let me know if you want to try some and I will send some your way. No coffee maker involved, just heat some water....and inexpensive too. Don't know if you eat rice, soooo the gotta have staple in Hawaii, but they have a microwave cooker for that too.
Any way, gotta get online and start doing my homework. Thanks for the help....Aloha -
You sound like me!! I put in a Birthday order with my family in Australia on the weekend!! 1/ unsweetened desiccated Coconut, 2/ Chocolate Mud cake mix, 3/ 1KG of Chico's chocolate Flavoured jelly Babies.
When I am out with JJ we use the top bunk for storage.
