The company might be around, but it's the human who likes that money more than they value YOU. YOU are disposable if necessary. YOU are not invaluable.
Want some different opinions

Hey, it has been years since then. The people running the place then are probably dead by now, so things could and certainly should have changed by now.
You should go in, apply and tell them your a legacy. Your pops worked for them, and now you want to give it a go. Then make sure and tell them, you are getting out of a company that has jacked around your pay, and you just will not stand for that. You work hard for that money. You just wants what is due you. Fair and fair.
Might be the best move you could make, plus they are local to the house. Should make getting some home time easy. Get all the details in writing. Like the shoe company says, just do it.HaulinCars Thanks this. -
You have a 50/50 shot. Remember thing normally get worse not better. This why we say the good old days...not the good new days!
@motocross25 is right, you need to speak with some current drivers and get their opinion of the company.
They are a local company right? What is their reputation around town?motocross25 Thanks this. -
if it's a family owned business, i can assure you whomever took over, or runs the day to day operations, took the knowledge of the owner to continue thier ways.
do as you wish, you have been given good advice......yet, you choose to debate it..

Go find 3 people currently working for them and see what they say.
Your asking people who don't know the name of the company, the city they are in or even what state they are in.
How in the world do you expect us to have any clue at all?
Here is the best possible, most accurate answer your going to get here for this question: Yes, absolutely they have changed and now they pay 100% on time every time. Unless they haven't changed at all or possibly even gotten worse. -
buddyd157 Thanks this.
