I appreciate the responses and very good and strong positions from all of you. However I am not used to making a stand when mobbed by people in the dozens over my own position. Yes I learned some things and stand on others on principle. Some of you can hoist me on the exhaust stack later. =)

But OP please, we all are human and a death sometimes is a very specific event depending on who passed. And we have condolences to you for your loss.

Their is no miles limit on PC but remember if he gets stopped he has to convince the D.O.T of what he is doing. What if the he is involved in accident, then he would have real big problem to try and clean up. I guess don't get stopped of he does go home on PC and better take 7 day off so it don't show on ELD anymore. Just remember if anything goes wrong he would be in a even bigger mess. Since he went over the HOS a lot.

If he is under duress due to this situation this would be a best option, especially if something happens due to being distracted by events and fatigued due to lack of proper rest and possibly over hours.

i would have thought so as well, a place to park the equipment, maybe pay a fee, maybe a secured lot?

but it is what it is. i hope/wish the best for him.

.I'd just go home one way or the other. The world won't end for the driver and in this economy, there's better jobs out there just waiting for his application.
