I just received my last settlement from my previous lease truck. yes it takes 45 days to cycle. and boy does my ##### hurt. there is a list of things that they tell u that u will have done when u turn in your truck when u sign the lease, so u know what to expect. (pm, mattresses, tiers under half tred and so on) so after I review my settlement I was quick on the phone. I told cre that I needed a detailed copy of the charges, they said they would mail it to me and for me to review it and call them back to go over any thing i wanted to dispute. I said fair enough.

when I looked at the charges I was in total laufter. I mean hers how petty they were... $6 to remove licens plate, $14 to remove load lock holder,$6 to remove the spare tire and had to pay for them to check everything $15 to check fluids? breaks, tiers lights ect... but then they started to charge me for things that I had repaired months before, wheel seals and sutch I had them replaced when i had my yearly dot insp in miria loma,ca along with my breaks. they charged me for a lot of paint work that was listed on my pre lease insp. and noted on my post lease insp. o btw they conviently cant find thoes insp. they asked me if I had them and I told them sure do there at my aturneys office and would they like his number? I was told that they will keep looking and reserch the charges and get back with me.
yes they charged me for things that were not dammaged. and added up to 7500.00
$23 to remove safty equipment like triangles and fire extingusher, $57 to remove decals, $56 to remove satilite system.
things like the curtin was loose and they adjusted it? ok it snapps on how can they adjust it? and my clutch needed adjusting, lol I had it to their shop 2 times asking for a clutch adjustment and being told it was self adjusting.
meenwhile I'm in my new truck thinking the charges are not the same as turning in a truck like they did not charge me to put on the licens plate or install the q-comm but they charge me to remove them?

but I'm not angry. just a little unhappy. I mean thats what the maintince account is for. I was just hopping that I could have started out with more in my fund with my new truck instead of starting just about all over.:biggrin_25512:

So you got charged 7500 after turning in your leased truck and got another one. I dont understand how they can charge you for the stuff you say they did when they are the ones who put that stuff in the first place. Those prices are just absurd! Just goes to show that you can never get ahead while in a lease from them.

I disputed the charges and they helped me threw it. they gave me credit on the body paint and prep, and the removal of decals and q-com because i wasn't supposed to be charged for them. (truck had paint issues when i signed the lease) but was told that, when they turn in a lease truck back in freight liner goes over it with a fine tooth come and tells them what has to be repaired before they can turn it back in. if that item is under the extended warranty then there is no charge for that.
and when we went threw the list line by line. they explained each thing to me.
also on the total they explained that since my maintenance fund was in the negative when i turned in my lease. that is put together in my final statement.
which in turn is applied to the next truck.
I had a turbo that went out the last month i had the truck and cost me 3000.00

so it's not as bad as i thought. 7500.00 included the whole charge of the truck, and i received a credit for a good bit of that.
and I already see the credit on my current settlement.

so there u have it. if u don't blow Ur top and handle it in a professional manner. u can always work threw things.
