Finally a EuroTruk that's not a candy color! Looks like it came from space. You could park it anywhere though.

At Red Fox: Well, there are a lot more that don't have a candy color, but there are still soo many trucks I need to photograph. And there are also a lot of trucks that are just white, or so. But most companies have their own colors and that is what I really like, because most company's trucks you can recognize by there own colors. Also from a distance on the highway.

I knew that I had photographed the last truck before, because I knew the driver. I've met him on truckshows before, also in Danmark two years ago. I've searched in my collection and found this pictures, shot on 24-06-2007.

And two days before the pictures from above were made, I made this picture. Truck is owned by the same company as the Danish one on the pictures above.

More interesting pictures I made that weekend two years ago are coming soon.

My question: Is this model Volvo ever sold in the US? They are quite rare here.

The truck on the right is interesting. It looks so different I dont know whether to like it or hate it.

Haha, I like it.. Too bad Scania stopped producing them. These noses just don't work here.

We have a problem with just the spanish language trying to take over the country, otherwise we all speak english. (a few of us learn spanish) How do you guys do it with so many different languages spoken all over europe? Do you just limit your mile...oops...kilometers, or learn other languages?

Good question Red Fox. We learn some other languages at school, but in the past it wasn't like that. So a lot of older drivers don't speak other languages, or just one. When you drive a lot in one specific country (or a country where you are regulary) you can try to learn the language, so I think that is what most of the drivers have done. It is not so hard to learn a new language, you only have to learn some basic things I guess.

These days you normally learn Dutch (motherlanguage), German, French and English at school (in Holland, it's different in other European countries). I can speak and write basic German and French. My English can be judged by yourself :p .And well, in most countries people are willing to speak English, that is just the easiest way to communicate when you both speak different languages. Some people just don't want to speak English (French people...), so that is difficult. Problems like that are solved when everyone CAN and IS willing to speak English.

Btw.. My uncle was an international driver and didn't spoke a lot of other languages, but he always managed to load or unload in countries where they spoke a different language. They will understand that you want to unload or load because they are expecting you, so that's not the problem I guess. But everyone speaking English will make everything easier.

    Red Fox Thanks this.
