Why not just fix your credit? I've never had lower than 740 my entire life and have seen as high as 830. All I do is use my credit card for the points and pay them off every month to avoid interest. I've taken a few loans for trucks and trailers and never missed a payment. There's no secret to having a good credit score. Just pay your bills on time.
If you can't manage to pay your bills on time you don't need to be borrowing money for a business you certainly won't be able to manage.
Can you get a loan from a bank with bad credit

You can get a loan but you’ll pay 30% down and most likely higher interest.
Older trucks are between like 10-17% and if you buy newer closer to 7-10%
What im saying is if you’re going to buy a truck from a dealer take a shot at loan mountain leasing
Like 6 years ago I was looking to buy my first truck no credit I was approved with 5k down for the truck I was looking at. At that time was a pro star.
They’re giving away trucks these days because not many people are buying the rates are crap depending on what you use it for
I have 3 trucks now since then and 1 pulls my dry van one pulls my reefer and the 3rd one now I’m setting up to haul carsSurfBaker Thanks this. -
There are a lot of reasons for people to fall on hard times with money with no fault of there own

That's what people say who can't manage money (99% of truck drivers). "I have bad credit, but it's not my fault" is a cliche at this point at any truck stop round table. Stuff happens, but that's what savings are for. Do you have 6 months of expenses in savings? If not are you living off of rice and beans until you do?Last edited: Jul 10, 2019

I paid off my 95 Kenworth in the last year which had a 5.5% interest rate at my local bank, but my banker knows I pay my bills instead of making up a bunch of excuses when things don't go my way.Last edited: Jul 10, 2019

Wow! Almost every post assumes I have bad credit, I have simply never gotten any credit from any one I have a bank account with savings and investments, I was asking a very simple question. I pay my Bill's candy have 0 debt, that's why I have no credit score they dont know I excist,Im almost 50 yrs old and the reason for my question was I did go to the bank and ask ,and for you guys out there that think you have to have good credit or collateral, well I got news for you, the banker told me you dont need those things. I have good standing with my bank and we been using them for over 20 yrs, they know us by name when we walk in. I just thought that I might get a positive reply back from truckers,I was wrong again
I guess I should consider the crowd before I ask,and from now on just stick to mundane useless questionsp608, FlaSwampRat and uncleal13 Thank this. -
Thank you for the positive reply I wish every one In here could do the same. I simply seek an answer and almost always get negative backlash.I wished it wasn't so. thanks again
