check engine and engine protect lights comes on at 1500rpm

    My 05 freighlinner columbia has a problem. The check engine and engine protect lights comes on at 1500rpm and cuts the power but doesn't shut off the engine, when I Rev it to 1500rpm again it happens again.pls help

    It's code 39, changed the egr valve but still same issue

    probably something going on with your sensor harness coolant temp shares a common with other egr sensors like egr temp and they start messing each other up

    I'm assuming that it's a Detroit. Flash code 39 is a logic code, which indicates a condition, not a component. It requires diagnostics, there are a lot of things that could set, off that code. A boost leak, EGR problem, delta pressure sensor issue, Vpod Issue, etc. All you can do without DDDL is check the basics. Make sure every thing is tight and plugged in. Check that your Delta-P sensor tubes are clean and installed correctly.

    Thanks, the guy with the laptop checked and we only have inactive 39 and it says no active codes that's why he advised me to take it to penndetroit.
