Like I said here a long time ago....if disks are a economical option then we can talk. I have nothing against them, but they are unnecessary so they need to pay for themselves.

Bad analogy. Diesels last longer and get better fuel mileage and have more power, thus they pay for themselves.

What a joke. 10 gazillion trucks have been down that grade just fine and now the world need disks because you got tagged. LMFAO. Oh boy lets make it a law. It was driver error. Maybe you want disks so you can hire idiots.

Disc brakes last longer and stop better and are cheaper to maintain. Kind of the same thing. Diesels weren't always like that either hence why you could get gas or diesel. My first truck that I made car hauler out of was a old 70's Ford cabover that was a roadway truck and it was gas because diesels were trash then.

Are the words I type not appearing on your computer screen? I repeatedly have said if they pay for themselves on in reduced maintenance I am all for it.

I have said several times that they are cheaper to maintain and longer lasting, you can also get down to the little details like smaller lifter parts are cheaper to ship so it costs less to order. No brakes will "pay for themselves" as they are a wear item....can you recoup extra up front purchase costs... absolutely! Do you buy Michelin tires or wing Wang's from China? The wing Wang's will still get ya down the road and cost a hell of a lot less and you may even get lucky and have them actually balance out lol.

The whole truck is a wear item but I hope it pays for itself.
I call BS on the Michelins. Used to be a Michelin man but they are overpriced junk and they don’t stand behind their product. I won’t buy another

.....in Fact, I’ve had excellent luck with all brands of tires, Chinese included. I’ve never blown a truck tire. Probably because I drive so slow because I’m worried about brake fade.
