Never stop on the shoulder unless it's an emergency! I-84 Eastbound at exit 234 after Cabbage Hill, it just happened short before I arrived. A Prime truck hit another semi that was parked on the shoulder and jacknifed.
Prime tractor was completely destroyed. Driver was alive but bleeding bad. We couldn't get him out of the cab, he was trapped. A woman took care of him, don't know if she was a doctor or nurse, she had an emergency kit with her.
I didn't take pictures of the cab, just a few from the other side of the road before I left. I hope the driver will survive!

The joys of not paying attention to the road.

Stopping on the shoulder isn’t the issue, though I won’t do it, it’s people on their phones or otherwise distracted.
mtoo, tinytim, Intothesunset and 2 others Thank this. -
How can you get in a wreck driving like an old lady?
Intothesunset Thanks this. -

Wow even when 84 was iced up 2 years ago I did not see any of this stuff.
Hmm I wonder if modern technology convince, or ELD mandate helped with this crap.
