I lucked out, I was covering a vacation that week, don't know what it would have been like on normal routine.

Yep, same case at the terminal I am at, although some of the guys did actually move around this last bid.

Well, really if anybody leaves their run gets posted, although sometimes a little prodding from HR is needed.

If a new run gets added that one gets posted, but otherwise we don’t do rebids just because. They like us to learn our own territories and stay there. Keeps things more efficient.

Absolutely its not always a full on bid. I should have clarified sometimes its just a single run bid.

@Jaystan0712 @USMC 3531 @Radman Im curious to know if saia has contractors to run city P&D operation thru out the whole US or just certain cities. Here in houston most if not the majority of saia long boxes are being haul by palletized (saia contractor) and the small trailers(30ft and 28ft) are being pulled by saia tractors. I wonder why the need of hiring contractors when that freight can be given to saia drivers.

I know they contract out some linehaul on occasion we pretty much use the same carriers. Ive pulled a couple Swift 53ft Van's out of Toledo recently. Far as contracting P&D its possible. I've never seen it up my way in Michigan If i had to guess that terminal could be grossly under staffed or some other very good reason there a little stingy dont broker too much. Im not aware of any nation wide contracters for P&D.
