I posted this somewhere else but got no reaction. So here it goes again: Mississippi DPS has a glitch in their computer system and it's showing CDLs expired/cancelled when they're actually okay. I just found out because I'm looking for a job and got the news that my license is "expired" even though I just renewed it last month. Mississippi drivers be aware.
Mississippi messing with your CDL, folks.

It's probably because they just got Windows 98 there in Mississippi.

All jokes aside, I am just trying to warn Mississippi drivers that you might be affected by this glitch. As I said, I renewed my CDL and hazmat endorsements last month. And a potential employer alerted me this morning that my CDL comes up as expired. Bad timing, since I have been actively applying online since last week. Who knows how many jobs have I missed because they all saw "expired" ?

I deal with MHP on a regular basis and they are short staffed and the staff is under trained and thrown on the line. Again more likely a personnel issue. -
Glad I changed mine to a new state a couple weeks ago.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -

Why hasn't Mississippi made a public statement about this so people can check to see if their license was affected?

Like most states the paper application likely got typed into their system by a data entry clerk that either dropped a number or hit the wrong key or whatever. It's unlikely to be a system wide issue.
Even if not a transcription error, still human error for one license is more likely.
