holding a paycheck

    Does any1 know how long{legally}a company can hold your last paycheck and the escrow?Owning my own truck,running auto parts,the company shut down my run with no other runs available.Am currently seeking employment,need the money.Thanks JW

    Sounds to me like you were not an employee. Therefore, you are just another creditor in line.

    The company is not out of business,they have other runs,but not enough for me,looking for another over the road company

    If you used your own truck, and you are not working for them and escrow is involved, it depends on the contract. However, as Psanderson states, it is normally 45 days to have them to issue the escrow.

    Payment for a run is usually required within 10 days of the run completion.

    thanks peeps,am currently looking as they are giving me about 1-2 runs a week.Looking for a descent over the road.
