I like the red truck but my minivan is green and the Amazon prime trailers are blue... Everyone on the internet was right, being a OO is tough! People that want to sign on with Amazon absolutely can not be talked out of it no matter how much proof there is that's it's a bad deal. I talked to one guy on here and told him about my experience (I have a 26' box truck that only makes one 23 mile run a day with four to six pallets on it, I figured I would try to find some more work for it and Amazon didn't even pay enough to cover tags and insurance lol) and he started asking me for my contact at Amazon lol! I was like are you ####ing serious? He told me he was gonna run 5 trucks in nor Cal and that's why he was gonna make it big. He also told me that the reason he was going after Amazon was they were giving him a strong letter of intent to enable the purchase of said five trucks...after that I gave up. People are gonna do what they are gonna do....even more so with Amazon for some reason. The info on is out there, if they wanna go broke in 8 months, that's on them.

I did not feel like reading the whole Freightwaves article, and still don't know what it is that they pay. Is it so much lower from what is a spot market average for a dry van (1.85)? Perhaps, they offer sustainability and simplicity in operations. Drop&hook and consistency in lane selection. No worries about freight chasing and all that load board load hunting. Easy job, that pays less but gives a peace of mind, a valuable thing for many. That's what my attract some people. I, myself, resent anything what is about mega, them included. Having heard all the stories about them "stealing" your trailer while you wait there to be unloaded, kept me from booking anything going there. Besides, I was never convinced by the rates offered.

Amazon is the same as Uber, great for consumers, but sucks for the drivers

Look at all of these stupid people coming in here daily wanting to know how to get in on that bankruptcy. Look at the dumb ### in FLSwamprat's example who thought he was going to be different and was going out risking everything on a loan for 5 trucks. It's madness. Thing is you can see the backlash happening. The word has been out for several years how bad Amazon is and now we are now seeing reports trickle out in the media how many carriers absolutely refuse to haul for them no if's and's or but's. But the revolving door of dummies never ends. A sucker is born every minute.Last edited: Jul 16, 2019

I somewhat refused an Amazon load today. I probably should have taken it, but some times you have to stand for something. Every time someone refuses to haul a load, the price goes up. My offer on this load for tomorrow may still be good but I doubt it will stay good. I bid a lot. Lot being relative. Last year it would not have been a lot, in my definition of "a lot" but this year it is a lot.
