I have been driving in a T2000 for 3 weeks, as a team it is a 2008 with 136,000 on it. So far the AC compressor has seized up. Then we blew an AC hose that Kenworth did not have in there inventory list. Had to put into inventory then ordered. AHHHHH the age of computers. Cummins didnt have it in there inventory either. On west coast no AC. Then the driver power window motor blew. So could not open window. Then found out they wired it wrong at the factory. Now the skirts around the saddle tanks are comming off. at this point you couldnt give me Kenworth. Also Called the district Rep. He was a complete jerk I will get his name and post it later.

T600s have a legacy of being a good overall truck...but what about the new T660s? Are they just as good or even better? Or are there bugs still for being too new to market? I haven't heard much on them...

DO NOT JUDGE KWs BY THIS IMPOSTOR TRUCK!!!
KW did themselves a huge disfavor to put their name on this wanna be truck model. T600, T800, and W900 do not even share the same cab with the T2000.Luis Thanks this. -
That truck needs to have its kenworth badges and logos taken off and called a freightshaker what a shame of a truck .
Brickman Thanks this. -

I like the look of the T2000 EXCEPT for the headlights.....gives it a beady eyed catfish look. Shoulda demoted the headlight designer to chief backup light designer at KW for that one...

same truck, different hood and fenders. biggest problem will be the new motors

There is a company in Columbus,In. called Columbus Container. They recieved around 20 brand new Kw T-660. They have full areo packages on then. They are white with a silver stripe. They look like a bullet running down the interstate. They look great.

We have found so far that the frames on the Cascadia are pretty much as expected. No real problems, but most are showing surface rust at the bolt holes. There's something about the air system though that was causing a lot of them to suffer from frozen air lines to the rear air bags. Supposedly the DD-15 will get better fuel mileage than the DDEC-VI, but we don't have any yet. The shifter in the Cascadias I drove seemed kind of balky and vague... easy to miss shifts when floating. That could be something peculiar to the installation of the straight ten speed though.
As I said earlier, both Cascadia and Prostar were having problems last winter with the DPF. They weren't getting hot enough to do a passive regen, and give very little warning that you need to do an active regen. As a result the trucks were shutting off. International came up with some kind of programming fix for that, but only a few of ours have been upgraded yet, so no word on whether the change actually fixes the problem.
Our Cascadias and Prostars have the full fairing package... the Cascadia side fairings seem to work their way loose fairly easily... I have seen a few in our yard with missing screws that are only several months old. Many of them are already showing surface rust on the body. The Prostars all have chrome peeling off the front bumper and are showing surface rust on the frame rails at the bolt holes.
