If you can wait a couple more weeks, Garmin has a new Trucker GPS coming out next month. Early reviews of it sound pretty good. Everything a regular Nuvi has, plus all the features needed for trucking.
Its called Garmin Nuvi 465T Amazon is taking preorders on it.
Edit: Doh, I see now that someone else already mentioned this one.... and that you already found a GPS. Sorry, I shoulda read the whole thread before responding. -
I bought a Garmin for $79.00 at wal-mart several months ago. I understand it is for cars and only use it to get an idea of how many hours away I am from the customer. I then zoom in to blow up the streets locally near the customer and match up the local qualcom directions. If they match I just memorize the turns(works great at night) if they do not match I'll call the customer.

the boss put a worldnav in the truck(his personal truck) I love it. only use it for finding addresses but hasn't failed me yet. got me out of a couple of tight spots as well.

Just remember a gps does not replace experience.

i like my rand mcnally 710,i dont have the traffic updates addon, but the routes i get are great,it gives a solid eta that i can count on, and it records the mileage.
alot of other functions as well, but i think its worth the 420$ it costed, but was hard to swallow spending that much because just about 1 yr earlier i had bought the rand mcnally 700 which was more expensive at the time,500'ish...it was ruined due to leaving it in my car on hometime, on seat, window rolled down a half an inch and it was raining really hard, it got soaked and that was my fault.
BE CAREFUL,lol -
Verizon has Navigator you can get . It's only for cars, but if you already have their cellphone, for around $10 a month it would be fairly cost efficient.

I before the infamous summer of 2008 used the rand and the cell. I already had a great low level (street mapping program) that after reading the Q-Comm directions and checking them off against the Rand then the paper street maps I have then a look on line from the drivers seat using google maps and then the old mapping program still think from reading what happened a few weeks ago to a trucker I'd still stick with the mapping program and screw the GPS! Besides they might make them illegal to use as they are doing with cell phones because of idiots and morons who can't chew gum and steer at the same time and those morons are going to be turning left on an interstate or waiting for the stupid thing to recalculate to screw you up again!
Nah they should make those things illegal in any vehicle until they make them 100% fool proof! ERRR I didn't really write that did I? There is nothing made or built that a fool can't screw up with stupidity! -
i use a 99 dollar tomtom car gps, but the rand mcnally is in the jump seat at all times. just be careful in town. i mean you have been driving for 20 years, so you know how to read signs and all that crap.
i bought mine for in town directions and for the ease of finding streets at night in pitch dark and rain and all that fun stuff.
