I read this on another trucking site and would like to know if its true so I can be prepared for this when I apply and how much will we have to pay do you pros figure? Thanks
From Class A Driver site:
I have heard that Central is now charging their company drivers for all fuel they use above 30% idleing in Summer months and above 25% idleing in Winter months.
I would think in Summer months with the temp. in high 90's to triple didgets when running in SW, doing 34 hour resets, doing your 10 hour rest time & trying to sleep or having several hours of delay for loading / unloading one would have a very hard time staying at 30% or less. and of course the same with trying to stay at 25% or less in the Winter in the north. Yes in Spring & Fall there will be times to meet these requirements with no problem.
