4 hour maximum at rest areas what another idiot law. Truckers are required by law to stop for 10 hours not 4.

Nebraska seems to be the only state that "gets it"! :biggrin_25525:

I love how NC has "No Overnight Parking" signs at many of their rest areas on I-95. I'm sure it has a lot to do with people failing to put trash in cans or dumpsters, just like the no parking on ramps laws.

That's gonna fill up pretty fast with Virginia shutting down half of their restareas to save money.
Shame about the trashy driver thing. Inexcusable and drivers caught should be heavily fined.

I see that over on one of the social (f) networking sites, that there is a page for those who want to protest VA. closing thier rest areas. Open to both the 4 wheeler and truckers

Don't you choose how you route yourself? I'd stay out of Va. if I couldn't stop there, and Kentucky is sort of an alternate.

what's the difference if VA closses them or not. they have a two hour limit and they inforce it! makes them useless to truckers even if they are open

Most companies will charge you for out of route. They set the routes you drive.
