Just wanted to say "Howdy Y'All"! I'm new to this site and am currently trying to my CDL. Taking the tests on my own and not so sure if that's such a great idea or not. For anyone who might see this any info on getting my foot in the door would greatly appreciated! Later for now! Stay Safe!

Hi
I just got my cdl last week with all endorsements. I used a book called how to prepare for the CDL. Second Edition by Mike Byrnes, it's a Barron's book. it is very helpful. I got all the test with a 100%. hope this helps

Taking the tests yourself and find a company that will hire you and train you. It is much more cost effective that way and if you cant do it then you can always go back and take a school after you have tried. It really is not hard. I had no experience and did it on my own. If you know anyone who drives that may have an hr a week or so to help you wiould be a big help to. Good Luck
