I'm interested in knowing what other types of power units Western Express uses besides the Volvo VNL-670's & Freightliner Columbia's. Is there any other company trucks I should know of?
Thanks,
Brian

When your done with what ever training you get? Dont expect to hop into a truck right off the bat. They have the new drivers sit in the lobby of the building in Nashville for up to 2 weeks before giving you a truck (IE they would like you to reclaim an abandoned truck first)

I'm not going to drive for them, I'm just curious to know what type of power they have in the fleet.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to remember that if I ever decide to go back to OTR. -
I drove for western for 1 yr and I never heard about a 2 week wait was always running through nashville and would stop in. They were good for me and they take care of there equipment. The only problems I had was those slow trucks and the pay but starting out they are good

I think all they buy is Volvos in 1500 truck lots. The oldest truck is 24 mo.
