Your right I’m wrong... I think we can both agree he used the wrong type of trailer lol

I will agree he didn't use the best trailer for the job. But I will also say I have loaded 70' long 13'6" tall load (on the ground) on a regular flat because it only went 3 mile and crossed under one 25' tall utility line. That's it. We would have never got a stretch step around the corner to where the load went. Sure made the customer happy.

Idk if that truck is out of route but if I were him I would be calling the place that gave me the permit and telling them they messed up. Lol I had a 13'8" wide few weeks ago and they routed me down Harlem Avenue in Chicago. THAT was interesting but then again I'm just getting into this heavy haul fun. Lol using fun loosely there.

    Fun isn't it :)

Hauled a 15.5' wide load through a city recently, then around a ridiculously sharp right hand corner onto a bridge, it was coordinated with police and the city, who had traffic stopped for me in many places, and the bridge closed. They treated me great , and let me focus on just not knocking anything down.
Electric company was out with special insulated poles pushing up power lines. Another bunch of people had traffic lights swung up so i could just squeeze under. Fifty minutes to go 4 kms, that is about 2.5 miles. While nerve wrecking, it was also kind of fun.
Once unloaded, not only did I have my pilot cars, but a cop led me right out of the city back to the hwy. I was told by the lady officer to literally follow her, and she had her lights on the entire way. They didn't just leave me there to figure out how to get out on my own.
I felt like royalty how well I was treated. The key is to move something for the City itself apparently :)

Pulled fine. It was a pretty rough spot coming out of the rail siding onto the road, had to have somebody operating the trailer to keep everything level getting out of there. There was also a pretty good grade from the siding to the substation, and I didn’t get out of 3rd gear on the main trans with the auxiliary in low, but the truck didn’t even know it was back there. I stopped and started a couple times on the grade (getting under low lines) but you could just ease out on the clutch and go.
