Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

As far as myself,I have tried all of them, even schneider has told me the are requiring at least 6 months in a tractor/trailer.I only have 2 months in a T/T and 5 months in a straight truck which doesn't help me at all when trying to get in a tractor.

when i started talking to crst last week they said they were hiring south of flint and grand rapids, i live south of 94 by the airport and have had a very hard time getting hired on with a company most want a seamless employment history, if i had that i wouldn't be calling them looking for work they don't seem to understand how construction jobs work.

As of right now I am working part time with Ryder rental as a transfer driver. I keep putting apps in online and in person if possible. Just nothing here in Michigan

ODman, stay away from Sunset Logistics down on Division. They have a ad in the Press every sunday looking to replace the next driver that is going to quit on them that friday.

icke, it's not just any one state it's every state , I've worked construction for 26 yrs and not just in any one state. It is everywhere people are desperate.

A guy I used to work with at OD is driving for them right now I think. I see they want to run you to death and pay nothing. -
-
Yup, thats them. The only way to get paid for anything is to wirte everything down on the trip envelope, and keep records for yourself and then call her out on it when she doesnt pay you for it. Only way to get home time was to tell the dispatcher no and then hang up.
