Well guys, I have an 06 Coronado and Freightliner changed design on fuel sending units. From "L" shaped to just a vertical floater. With L shaped, I had to always bend floater arm so gauge would read full when topped off. 3 times I did that. With new version, I don't know how to correct that issue since floater just moves vertical on stem. Tanks are positioned correctly, but I have never figured out why gauge reads 7/8 full when fully topped off with every new sending unit. And yes I'm aware of inaccurate gauges, and Also use pen and paper for actual numbers, but I also enjoy having everything working properly in my truck. So, thanks for any suggestions.

How does the gauge act when tanks are low?
My w900 didn't read correctly and that was because the tanks were positioned wrong.
7/8 full but went way below E. -
Unless you get one of the newer fleet trucks with 150gal max capacity meaning you’ll only carry 140 to compensate for fuel expansion and return. Then 800 miles is where you start looking for fuel.

Can someone help me with my annoying problem? My 2016 Freightliner Cascadia 125 fuel gauge keeps going out. DEF gauge works fine. I have replaced the sending unit sensor. And for some reason every time the gauge goes out I find that a fuse in my glove box is blown. The fuse box only calls for 5 or 10 amp. but I put 20-25 amp fuse and it still blows. this problem is annoying along will having to buy fuse all the time.

FL had to warranty my sending unit twice in the first 18 months. Same truck.

It can be my sending unit because my fuse keeps going out. If i put a new fuse in, the gauge is back working.

Never trust a fuel gauge in a truck.
