I hate it when people say go up 3 lights hang a left go 2 stop signs take a right and so on. And they have no idea of street names or give you any landmarks for reference.

Why cant they say go up about 3 lites # taco bell take a left on "i think" B street go 2 stop signs take a right youll see a red house on the corner, and so on.

But I guess people in the NE are so full of them selves and to busy to pay any attention to there surroundings I cant imagine some of these morons having to call a tow truck and try to explain/figure out where they are.

It's not bad if you drive a reefer because in florida its the season. But florida is in the south but to me it's the east coast.

I consider east coast anywhere from DC north and east! From south of DC on down not bad at all.

Way too many people out there, with way too little space.

East coast still think we only pull 48' trailers. Tight places, tight turns and rude people....no thanks. Paid my dues a long time ago when you didn't have a choice or extra pay if you went like now. To those of you who like it...anyone ever tell you that you were bizzare? :biggrin_2554:

Truck will not cross the Indiana/Ohio border, closest thing to East coast anymore is NC. We'll pass on the East coast but y'all have fun with out us. :biggrin_25523:

What's so bad about the NE? It's not "easy truckin'" - so there's lotsa whinin'! I spend a lot of time up there...

    - Do your homework on the route - it can be challenging.

    - Try not to be on the big road during rushhour - that's a good time for a break.

    - Keep an eye out for non-traditional parking - like access roads to your shippers and receivers, and remember where they are. Limited truckstop parking, there is!

Basically, if you don't like running the NE, that's fine. Leaves more freight for me.

The one thing I have found really helpful with bridge heights in NY. Signs that are in white are "curb" or "snow" height. Only yellow height signs are legit road heights.

yeah, about the bridges in ny, lets set the record here, do to the fact that a lot newbs read here, lets just make it a point to tell everyone reading that if ANY bridge, regardless of yellow or white color, if its marked lower then you are, keep away from it, to many dumb people out on the roads now-a-days to tell people what the colors may be.
ask 5 people what the actual height is of a bridge is in ny, and i bet youll get 5 different answers.

the only place i do it is on 95n/s coming across the gwb... says 12 4 in the left lane, but thats where im always at.
