    DEF injection is based on the readings from the NOx sensors. If your truck is running well, and NOx production is low, then the DEF injection is low. Tanks on most OTR trucks can be 16 to 24 gallons. 700 miles may not have used 25 percent of the DEF. You could try and stick the tank, see if any fluid is in it.
