The McMartin PreSchool employees were ALL thought to have molested children.
March 22, 1984, Virginia McMartin, Peggy McMartin Buckey, Ray Buckey, Ray's sister Peggy Ann Buckey and teachers Mary Ann Jackson, Bette Raidor, and Babette Spitler were charged with 115 counts of child abuse, later expanded to 321 counts of child abuse involving 48 children
The Prosecutor thought he had a "slam-dunk". Ray Buckley was held with-out bail for 5 years and charges were eventually dropped due to a "HUNG" jury...........10 voted for acquittal, with two hold-outs for conviction.
The Prosecution's own "confession" witness was granted IMMUNITY for perjuring himself about Ray Buckley's jailhouse "confession".
Judy Johnson, the woman who started the whole investigation by alleging her son was sexually abused was diagnosed to suffer from acute paranoid schizophrenia and drank herself to death in 1986.
The investigation began in 1980 and ended in 1990 costing the State of California OVER $15MILLION. It was the LONGEST and COSTLIEST Criminal Trial in U.S. History.
Using YOUR theory, there wouldn't have been a trial.
