Getting a comcheck from TMC is like waiting for mold to grow.
You're 100% right, and, it's not practical. Neither was their so called "fuel solution" which is why i always bypassed their dumb fuel stop suggestions and went wherever i felt like.
If enough drivers man up, it will change. Make your delivery late, run completely legal. When they ask you why you were late tell them you had to wait 2 hours (log it on duty) for your com-check so you could run the toll road. It will change then.
After my buddy called me and told me this, i withdrew my application. Not going back to trucking anymore. lol. -
I'm going to run out of com checks real quick, hopefully I can get to a terminal and stock up. I live in a toll zone near Chicago so every time I go through the house I'm gonna be dealing with this. I'm wondering what it's going to do to the OOR having to make out of way trips to com check friendly facilities. I'd hate to see my OOR go up, it's good enough to get me a half cent a mile, same with my mileage. If nothing else the extra driving should help the idle time go down...

If you are on 88 in chicago area, I always just run the toll booths in the I pass lane and let the company get the tickets to pay the tolls ............ its worked for me so far
