i'm not really to concerned about getting along with my co-driver i'm not hard to get along with. besides that i know sleeping while the truck is moving might take some getting used to but when i'm tired it dont matter will go to sleep. anyways i would really like to hear from the ones who've been doing it a while thanks

know who will start 1st and till when he will drive and when you guys will switch. oh, MAKE SURE your driver knows the rout because when you go to sleep and he wakes you up talking about "yeah umm did i take the right exit" then it's too late.

    jose89 and GAPrincess Thank this.

yeah sounds like one of those simple things you wouldnt overlook but i can see how that can happen to some. how is teaming differnt in regards to how you would log? also i've heard of bears watching closely to see if the co-driver is sitting in the passanger seat

i can't tell you that because i never drove in a team i just know from what people say, and that would be the simple stuff. But you know that nobody really does the "right thing" when it comes to doung your log book hahahaha.

If you get out of the truck after he stoped put a towel over the steering wheel or something so he knows you got out.

Many a team driver has been left behind

    GAPrincess and jose89 Thank this.

Geez I'd kill my co-driver if he left me behind. Guess it all depends on how your partner sleeps if they close the curtains and put a blanket over their face. I can't sleep like that too soffacatin. And unless there are some really bright lights I usally don't have the curtains open. I guess more so than anything else we have to have good communication and be on the same page as far as upkeep of the truck and route info. Its the #### little things that bite me. Anyhow thank you all for your imput anything else anybody would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

I look at the track record of roommates who can leave the house at any time and barely see each other. Pretty dismal after a year. I can't imagine those close quarters all the time. I could do it for a while though I suppose.

:biggrin_25511: *coughs* It's not always easy living in a metal box with someone else. And I've loved my "someone else" for 27 years. I'm sure I drive him nuts at times too. And we've only been doing six weeks. I figure in six months we'll either have things all worked out OR one of us will be wrapped in duct tape and stored under the bunk.

Your sleeper berth time has to be at least 8 CONSECUTIVE hours plus another 2 for your 10 . True that very few actually do it that way . Watch how you use your fuel card .
