I am a current driver for USX. Been here for 3yrs. I really can't say too much bad about the company. As far as them telling solos to team, lease, or quit, that took place in FL, CA, parts of TX, MI, and a few other western states. The reasoning behind it is that freight rates have crashed and those states are difficult to find freight into and out of that is profitable. Therefor, it is not profitable to deadhead a solo several hundred miles home and several hundred back out. Teams can be much more profitable.
As far as your choice of school, Roadmaster in Orlando was good for me. I can't tell you about Indy. Whatever your choice, pay attention and take every opportunity you can to get behind the wheel.
Good luck and keep the rubber side down!

Useless Xpress is the worst of the worst in my opinion and I have worked for them and many more. I drive for YRC now. I would suggest Conway.

USX...I would pre quit! .........Low brow operation. They will use and abuse you. If your up for that than have at it.
Don't let a shiney fleet fool you, Its going to be your home. Expect it. And remember its always a great idea to push back when they push. The only way to deal with there deciet is to use it on them. And first and foremost make a attempt to ruin the dispathers day with added stress. When they have a breakdown or blow there cork its priceless!
