    I'll bet it was operator error. "R" does not stand for "race", dont use that gear at high speeds.

    After all this time I finally figured out it meant "Reverse", whatever that is. Seriously tho, a bit of error on my side. Apparently, one does not need to use tow/haul with a light trailer .

    Had the same issue till I figured it out. Curious, how light is/was the trailer?
    Mine was shifting funny with a 10k lb empty trailer. Think I'll use the tow haul at 15k+
