That is a great question. I am not a good one to ask because of the lane I run. When I ran loads outside of my lane and followed my advise, I netted around $3,300 for the week, not counting tolls. Of course I have no lease payment for the truck and my lease payment is around half of the trailer rental.Speed_Drums Thanks this.

That’s very encouraging for sure. I live in North Carolina and although getting homes on the weekends is great. I’m willing to sacrifice and stay out for longer periods of time for a bigger paycheck though. I hear freight is slow right now but I’m confident I can still make it.

Get your own load boards don’t rely on Malone board alone....Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Thanks I appreciate it. I’m looking for a truck now. I have cash but every truck I’m seeing now has been ragged out. I just want a pre def/dpf truck. I’m about to throw in the towel and just hit the dealer. Thanks for the adviceBean Jr. Thanks this.

I’m doing amazing over here getting 2.3 a mile all miles to the truck I just bought my own truck.
When I had the lease truck my deductions where about 1200 with everything but fuel 781 for the fixed deductions. The only issue I see is the volume isn’t here and if you’re not willing to deadhead you might be sitting for a while. You have to know your numbers here and stay in the little box they talk about until you get relationship built with the brokers. I can say it would be really easy to fail over here if you don’t know your cost and like to run west of the Mississippi.
As for my weekly numbers I live in Dallas and get home every other week and take 4-5 days off. While leasing I was getting 1700-2000 to the bank a week. As a true O/O now I’ve been hitting 2700-3500 a week But that’s me holding 250 a week for my truck payment and 200 for my maintenance.Last edited: Jul 27, 2019
Speed_Drums, Loke and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
Yeah I live in Nc and have 30k to spend but I see it’s hard to get something I willing to pay for at this price

Used Truck sales been real slow this year so it is a buyer's market. 2016 Kenworth T680 with 320k miles, Cummins, 10 speed manual goes for $65,000 to 67k at Kenworth dealerships. About 10k dropped in price from a quarter ago. I just bought one last week.
