Will using a heat gun and a paint scraper behind this as I heat it pull it up without damaging the paint? Anyone removed something similar with good results? I'm not looking to be a rolling advertisement for rush truck centers unless they wanna compensate me ;) 15642464493234744399089666036922.jpg

Yes if you are very careful. That's how I used to do them before I bought a heater designed for that purpose. If you call around to some local body shops someone might have a contact heater for that purpose and do it for like $20, worth a shot. But yes go slow with the heat and you can get it off. Before you put a scraper behind it pull on it with a pick as it gets hot (not real hard) to get it to lift a little first. Then put the scraper behind it while keeping pressure on the emblem instead of the paint with the little bit of room you made by pulling it out. It will leave a mess on the paint to buff off but won't scratch it then.

seriously either dental floss or very thin string....run it back and forth, and that will slice thru the backing pad.....

much safer than a heat gun.

then get some "goof off" or some other automotive glue remover. follow directions.

Back in the 80's we used to build and strip Police / Fire / EMS vehicles, used a heat gun alot, be very careful not to over heat the paint, also used a steel guitar string to slide behind things to get them off. Razor blades, chisels, or other sharp things tend to damage in the blink of any eye. Slow steady pressure heating as you go, also take care that it does not reafix it self after you have loosed that end.

Heat gun and a PLASTIC scraper... no metal. Lightly heat the sticker.
