Where did SJ go. I was a driver for many years and got into a different field and this forum still keeps me in the drivers. seat.

I know he was supposed to start at a new place around July 12 and was just curious if he had a new thread or something.

I have been lurking for years and just gave my first post to this thread. thanks for any info

Unfortunately the mods at TTR have banned SJ. I don’t know why or for what.

As I said before SJ’s posts will be missed.

Man, driving around Philly is so much more relaxing when you ate driving a Ford Fusion instead of KW lol.

Ugh it seems like any time I take a load in early it ends up backfiring on me somehow.

Take today for example:. Had an Essity load going to the Lawrenceburg warehouse. Appointment was 1930. Was told "They'll take it early.". Got up around 0230 this morning to get it delivered and get under something else. Stopped at the TN welcome center and told dispatch that my ETA was 1000. Reply was "Ok they'll take it."

I get to Lawrenceburg and I'm told where to go (finished goods, not roll stock like I brought here before so different warehouse) and I'm told "There's probably gonna be a wait."

Doggone right there was a wait. It didn't take them that long to put me on a door. But once there I sat, and sat, and sat. Once they finally stated unloading me it still took what seemed like forever. I finally put in my empty call at 1513. Dispatch had another load for me fairly quickly but due to getting moving so early this morning I don't have enough time left on my 14 to go pick it up today. It's just going to Plano, too. I may still be able to get it delivered tomorrow but I guess we shall see.

    MIT Thanks this.

Last time I went there same exact thing. No one told me they would take it early but I got there 2 hrs early. I went to the same smaller warehouse it sounds like. Immediately in a door only to sit for 4 hours.

Did a drop and hook at Budweiser in Ny this morning. Total weight was 79,900. For the life of me could not balance it out on the axles so had to back into a dock and sit for a while they reworked the load. Those robot forklifts are pretty cool.

Wow yeah Budweiser loads a little heavier than Miller. Never had one that heavy but I picked up one in St. Louis that was just a little shy of 79k and it took me forever to get the axles right.
