i wish the trucks would sound like this

if so it would be very easy to id truck drivers cuz we would all be talking extremely load, deaf we would be

in the days of young loud sounds we would love but when age creeps up some piece and quiet is nice,although a nice straght pipe on a cat is sweet

 

They did sound about like that before the EPA began to "protect" us from ourselves. And before the public began hating trucks.
At one time i worked for a man that had 1693 Cats. To this day i feel that was the sweetest sounding motor ever made. They had their own very unique sound. They had their bottom end clatter and when the turbo started coming to life and "doing its thing", i loved that sound. And they pulled like a tractor.
The only drawback to them was no engine brake...
To this day i havent come across a motor i liked any better....
