How easy is it to damage those little rubber dock bumper things on the end of a truck?

    Wait?

You didn't see this when you closed the doors before you left the shipper?

Thats exactly what the damage on my truck looks like. I checked the docks I go to and they all had rubber pads so Im still not sure what caused it. A semi was behind me trying to get into the left lane and almost hit me with his trailer. I thought id feel it if that actually hit my truck though.

No I didn't. Usually when I'm walking back along a trailer I'm concentrating on tires and not the corners of the bulkhead. I wound up going back to the shipper and checked out the dock I backed into a few days later. Sure enough, there was the big steel bracket hanging sideways with no rubber in it. I told them about it, and as you would expect, they could care less. Thought I would send them a bill for the repair, but since I didn't catch it while I was there, I figured it wouldn't do any good.

Would not do any good anyways, not to be the ###, but, no matter you backed into it, the bldg did not back into you. Hate to be this guy however it is up to us to make sure of these types of details as drivers. Good Luck..
