Agreed Eckz, pretty ignorant comment especially with all the variables from person to person.

I don't know that I would say this should land TMC on the bad company list necessarily but it is definitely a big negative. Today the fleetwide message went out that as of right now we are no longer using pre-pass. They have decided not to use them anymore so we have to either get comchecks or act as creditors. The more I think about it the bigger negative it is, especially for drivers who regularly drive the tollroads.

yea that message sucks but it was because pree pass charging to #### much for the service. tmc is just like everyone else trying to cut back expenses in tough times. i have never had a problem getting my money paid back to me for services i have paid for. As for all the bs on accounts tmc has lost all i can say is get with the program! john deere is still going strong, alco is slow but they cut production so freight drops when that happens. tamco has been very busy and last time i was in federick,md there was 60+tmc trucks waiting to load. freight is slow and the money is down that is the truth but everyone who has a job in this economy should be thankful, lots of familys are struggling to put food on the table. i will take a med size paycheck over none at all!!!

sorry u had such a bad trainer. so did my husband. now that he's a trainer he gets all good comments. as far as tmc goes....it is without a doubt the worst company i've ever seen! hospitalization stinks, they don't even offer smoking cessation meds or other therapies! dispatchers don't know one state from another, and the pay has been lousy for 6 months! hubby never gets home on a friday til after 8 or 9 pm and what does he have to show for all those hours.......not enough to get thru the month
-
so let me get this right....you want TMC to pay for your husbands habits? so if i was an alcoholic, which would be by choice, that TMC or whoever i work for should pay for my AA class? what an ???????? comment. .soon as you fully understand how healthcare works for companies and the REAL cost that a company has to pay to insure their employees, maybe you will understand why companies dont like to pay for those types of medications.

Man, I am SOOOOOO happy I don't drive for TMC anymore after hearing about no pre-pass. When I started for them it took me a month to get my pre-pass, because the U.S. postal service sucks. I will give you some hints on not having pre-pass. DONT GO EAST. P.A. will only accept cash, no plastic(credit or debit). Your O.O.R. miles will go up trying to avoid the multiple tolls in the east. Not like their routing makes any sense. I feel bad for TMC drivers without that. I do understand that they are being hit hard. Their bread and butter is construction and raw materials, both of which are the areas that are hurt the most in this economy. I thought I was unlucky, being one of the MANY drivers cut by TMC, but it turned out to be a blessing. When I turned in my truck you couldn't even pull into the Indy terminal. Now I work for a tiny company, in comparison. Our business is fine, because we can undercut big companies and we still have our pre-pass......
. I can't imagine not having it. It sucks.
Does TMC still have that out-dated 1980's qualcomm?.....analog.......ha.
Get with the times, they want to save money by not putting in the windows based system that they will train you on when you get your truck. The one thing they don't realize is that by installing them they will save money on o.o.r. and save money on accidents from drivers making wrong turns. IT MAKES NO CENTS! or SENSE! lol.....
Also $10 for three hours of tarping a day is a real funny joke. Too bad the jokes on you.
Goodluck drivers and be safe and healthy.
P.S. If you get let go by TMC, be nice to them. I was and they didn't slam my D.A.C. with anything and have been very cooperative with getting me onto other companies. DONT BURN YOUR BRIDGES!
Peace out and LETS GO RED WINGS -

Check with your states health department, they may offer cessation assistance. My husband and I quit over a year ago, but I still get Marlboro solicitations in the mail here and there. I noticed on the one I got the other day there's a number to call to be removed from their list as well as information for cessation there too. I didn't call it, so I don't know how useful (or useless) the number is.
