And a very powerful viral you tube audience for all his family and friends back home.
It's one thing in rodeos in front of family and friends quite another in today's camera world. Ive hooked hydrants before (Getting off of them is easier said than done, you are either going to lose one tire or more or tear off that cap and if is a wet hydrant that street is fixing to be washed on your dime.
Boss man took the money for next tire out of my pay. It's ok. Still have my work next week.
Rookie Driver starting out, scared of OTR, what should i do? thanks

As a side note to OP, I think everyone here has in their own way trying to teach you to do well in this industry. But sure you picked a hell of a job to do here. Better maybe you join the Marines. Be easier. My spouse was a shy thing growing up couldnt be held to anything in the light of day. When the Marines issued her some stripes she had to overcome that and do what is necessary in her time.
THAT came in very handy years later when she is working on a difficult situation on US 1 in Jersey (When you consider there is one valid US 1 you can put a truck on. And I had not had a chance to teach her yet. But she did it right that night when it was her time to go.) I was very happy with her. But I knew in time we both will be back home and it's all good. For the most part.
Not everyone is so lucky. Maybe it will be you too. But you have to get out there and away from your home nest.buddyd157 and Linte_Loco Thank this. -
He decided on a course of action and bailed at the first obstacle. He did not look for ways to cope or overcome. What is going to happen when he faces a real challange?
I have no problem giving the op another shot, and Schneider would be a reasonable option. However he needs to commit to being successful.Lepton1, Gearjammin' Penguin, stwik and 5 others Thank this. -

It's been a year already. Imagine. He would be able to almost write a ticket to any job that can accomodate him by now. Maybe there will be no more of these lost years sitting home.

It’s gonna be tough being in a truck with someone else. Gotta just find a way to get along. Find common interests.
Use them to get your own truck.
Do what you gotta do to survive itx1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Probably fired because of low gpa.

The bunk beds thing I thought was a little weird when I first started. Even before getting a trainer we had bunk beds in room with other drivers. I was always used to having my own room. If your raised sharing bedroom with brothers then is normal. If not then it seems weird. What do people wear to bed ? It's not like being in your own room, so it kinda hard to even be comfortable in bed sleeping.
I have all dark clothes now but not because of any crazy idea. I just got tired of doing separate loads of laundry at truck stop. I even have black socks and can't see doing a separate load of white clothes. Just throw them all in and wash and dry and go. Plus at $3 a load it can get expensive doing separate color clothes. -
Get the passenger endorsement and drive a bus. Greyhound or school district. They both pay almost as well as 1st year OTR and you will be home everyday. I am not trying to be insulting as I considered doing the same thing.
