I hauled a big power inverter earlier this year for a new solar project. Pretty neat, I love hauling the big ones. 44C7AD88-5EC1-451D-B6ED-DA6E1D7A9171.jpeg

OK so I'm still trying to avoid work so here's another from a few years ago. Same place I went with my last picture but let me explain...
The building on the left is a big old sanitation department maintenance building. Probably not 2 truck lengths out front is the FDR where all sorts of yuppies jog or bicycle along under the highway. Off to the left at the front of the truck is a small pocket park where joggers can stop to do exercises. Someone decided it was a good idea to try to "hide" the big old trash building...They came up with "a living wall"...The Manhattan Bridge is in the background, and between the truck and the crane is the framework for the living wall. We fabricated all the steel, I hauled it to galvanizing plants (Taunton, MA, Perth Amboy, NJ or Lebanon, PA) then back to our shop, and finally to the city... The finished framework was to be covered with mesh and then hopefully they were supposed to have plants and vines growing on the mesh...I never got to see the finished "wall", I was on the Brooklyn side about 6 months ago but was over by the Brooklyn Bridge, so I couldn't quite see... I noticed your selling all your flatbed gear? Had enough of it? What's your plan?

Buying a dirt trailer. If I decide to go back to flatbed it won’t be for a few years and don’t need this stuff filling my already full garage. I do love flatbed though and will kind of miss it like an ex lol. The rates blow where I live and dirt is booming.

I am hoping to go end dump in a few years after flatbed wears me out. Switching from a spread axle flat to a spread step this week and i hope the lower deck takes some of the labor/danger out of securement. Any pointers? Be my first time on stepdeck.

    booley and MartinFromBC Thank this.
