I wouldn't count on it that's why the ticket has fines according to mph over the speed limit. If you look at the ticket it starts at 1mph over. But yes that would be pretty sh*&%y.

Extra 3 you mean. Everyone runs 62 anyway. I just spent all day puttering across Illinois right at 55. I hate this state so I give them what they want. Logjam!

During the last speed change from 55 Mph,States like Texas "Warned"
the "Posted Limit" would remain in effect "UNTIL" the signs were changed.

Traffic running down 65/70/57/55/30 has been pretty steady the last couple of weeks.70 mph was the norm.Made great time thru the Communist land with seldom a glance from the LEO's.(what few were seen)

Point is ,do we have to wait for the sign change or does the law cover the
    sign transition period ?

Good question! The rumors I heard was that if the sign wasn't changed the speed was 55 and you would get a ticket!

The question I have is.... When the law passed, was it to end split speed limits or just raise the speed for trucks? Yeah I know it sounds the same but it isn't.

I can see alot of tickets being written here soon and alot of people in court!
