Who wouldn't take the cheapest rate, provided the service level is there. -
As I browse some other websites, there are drivers(L/O) that are taking .67 mi freight. They all say the same thing,"at least we're moving". The shippers are ripping off the companies, because they have this backwards mentality. Amazing business we're in...

So what do we think falls under service?
Typically we go immediately to the load when it's available, and deliver it practically overnight just about anywhere in the country.
Shoot, I can't even overnight a sheet of paper for under $30. Yet we overnight 25 tons for $275 if it calls for it.
How do you distinguish yourself in the service area? Seems it's up to the brokers to handle relations.
