As rough as some of the toll roads I've been across lately are, they should maybe spend the money on the roads instead of filling their worthless pockets. Thieving scum.

Just wait until gas/fuel hits $4 a gallon again, during this economy.

The turnpikes/bridges will be hurting even more.

Look for the west bound GW to be the first to install toll booths.

wait I had thought they said the reason fuel was going up was do to supply and demand. But now they are talking about haveing to raise tolls due to less traffic. Seems someone needs to get there story right.

Witch is it more traffic or less.

    Sounds like Obama economics

Kajidono, you got that right. The PA Turnpike is in terrible shape, and the NJ Turnpike isn't far behind it. Hell, I-80 is free to use at the moment (they're trying to toll that in PA too!) and it's in great shape.

They just redid I-80 two years ago, it was pretty rough then. They were trying to make it toll then too. Not just any toll, they want to charge $150 to per truck to travel from state line to state line. The local businesses have been fighting it since it will kill their profits (obviously.) I wouldn't waste $300 on a round trip through there. If they do that, everything east of the Ohio border can grow their own food or starve as far as I'm concerned.
