W900 a/c help

Probably no filter. My 92' T6 doesn't have one. The intake is on the passenger side right below the engine air intake. They make a filter that you can screw onto that screen if you want one.

 

have you felt the defrost or floor vents to see if its comming out there, I've seen the air doors hang up and pull capers like that my next guess would be the fan missing blades

 

I'd have to agree with Mack.... Sounds more like a directional problem if you can hear the blower pushing air. Not certain but I think the directional flapper is vacum controled so it may be a broken or loose hose to the flapper door.

 

I just went through this exact same problem with my T800. I could hear the blower blowing but there was very little air coming from the vents.

I also tried to find the filter where the others have said. Mine also didn't have one..

Took the truck to the local Kenworth shop and they cleaned the evaporator, opened up and cleaned out the heater box, heater core and made sure that the actuators that change the air direction were operating properly. They also installed the cab fresh air filter..

I now have hurricane force winds in the cab..

 

Hey Ken, if your fan ever starts to kick the breaker out, take the air filter off and clean it.

For the question that was asked, your most likely losing your air somewhere else. My dad had a heck of a time with his till we figured out someone put a filter on it. Kept kicking the breaker till we took the filter off, no problems now.

 

Like Kenmar said, I would take a look at the evaporator core and see how much dirt it has in it. It will block the air flow if its really dirty and even cause the evaporator to ice up if its real humid out. The old KW I had didn't have a filter and was doing just what you said until I took it apart and cleaned everything out. After that it worked so good it would freeze me out in the summertime.
