I had oil sample done at a cat dealer11 years a go told me my c12 is tossed every ting in oil so they wanted $17000 for inframe or $30000 for full rebuild . first oil change after I gone it used (2000 t800 c12 cat} 430000kms on it most ever thing in red .they told me not to drive it it will blow up.3 months later oil sample came back less red then then 3 months later all good they told me the repairs I made to the engine fixed my problems {no repairs done to it did not have the money for repairs }that was 11years ago I drive it 13 hours aday and works as good as the first day I got it ..19 years 163000kms and no def why replace it mostly city work .it work better then the over300 company freight liner all lest the 3 years old ..

Here's how my motor came last year, Volvo D13 factory reman kit, with new turbo and all gasket, 24,000$ parts, aprox 31,000$ instaled , with core exchange, 3 years / 350,000 miles waranty instaled by volvo. My bullgear failed at 1.2 mil miles, I decided to go for reman, because i was quoted higher price for bullgear and in frame in Volvo shops, and they never make them like this in shops , it's practically a new motor.

I just had my 3406b done at industrial diesel and driveline in CT. Top notch guys and work over there. Costed me $15,600. That's new head, pistons liners rings kit, oil cooler, cam shaft, rods rods mains bearings, they counterbored all 6 holes, new bull gear, new fan hub, and other things I'm sure I'm not mentioning.
