I can do a school bus pre-trip in my sleep. Is the truck pre-trip pretty similar or will I have to change my entire way of thinking? The engine set up, the air brake test, the tires, are pretty much mentioning the same things, right? In other words, is there alot I have to learn, or just a few things?

I've never pre-triped a bus, but I'm sure if you can do the bus, the truck should'nt be much of a problem

I graduated May 20 from a trucking school. I studied hard and did the pre trip with no problem. On the truck you will have to learn about the trailer. The back of the tractor, the fifth wheel, tandom wheels, etc. Inside cab you had another break valve, for the trailer. On May 21st, I was able to take the one day bus endorsement course. The pre trip on the bus is very similar. The bus you have to learn about the student signals, seats, emergency exits. It was very easy. If you had no problems with the one pre trip, you will have no problem with the other as long as you study some. Good Luck
