lets see, Comparing JCT to Stevens from the FMCSA

    Trucks: JCt 685, Stevens 1835
    Drivers JCT 615, Stevens 2461

Very lousy way to compare companies...Stevens has 3 times the trucks and 4 times the drivers.

I am presently parked next to a JCT truck who has been sitting here in Clovis NM all weekend, waiting for a pickup on monday Morning. He is one unhappy driver. I have talked with other JCT drivers who are very happy also.

I set in a truck stop for 10 to 14 hours, depending on when I need to roll, and have never done a 34 hour restart, except at the yard, or at home. Stevens keeps me rolling, maximize my miles and hours and all legal.

    primexample Thanks this.

just to add the safety scores, 88.43 for JCT, anything over 75 is BAD, Stevens 41.03

I can tell deep down inside your ready to come back home to Stevens.
stevens dont ask you to run 2 log books to be sucessfull or sell you a truck for a buck.bs
if you run one log book at jct you will be looking for another job i promise.
hell if you gotta run 2 log books maybe they should sell you 2 trucks for 2 bucks.

well if you are setting at truckstops for 10 to 14 hrs(your words not mine) then of course you are not needing restarts. Check some of the other Stevens threads and see some of the other drivers saying that they do resets every 5 days because they are being run so hard.

We run loose leaf. so we don't need to run two books. Just rip the page out and do a new page. You say that you only run two log books to get miles? Well that's a half truth cuz I'm sure that driver will rack up way more miles than the legal driver.

No. I think it's good. But I don't understand how u can run through 70 twice in 7 days. U'd hve to log a LOT of "on duty" hours...

I don't think that's the case. If you happen to sit at shipper or receiver, you don't log "on duty" all that time. That would b stupid. Unless u're lumping ur load. If you're playing games or watching porn in ur padded cell while waiting u are not on duty. :biggrin_25525:

I had one reset sitting # the meatpatch from THU evening 'till SUN morning. But because I'm a good cheerleader, :biggrin_25525: I can't blame stevens. Tyson busted the DLD by one day. And I got paid for layover. Not as much as I'd make by driving for 2 days, but much more than I expected (more than Driver's manual says)

I got a ticket last week in CA 4 low thread on 1 of the tires on my trl I just picked up. Again. Can I blame Stevens? Hell no. It was my fault I didn't do proper pre-trip before I picked that trl up. I saw low thread but I thought I can get away with it as I did many times before.
I can blame the previous driver though. How is Stevens suppose 2 know that something's wrong if drivers won't let them know?
Needless to say, I called breakdown and they routed me to first TA on my route to take care of it.
The ticket lady will take care of the rest. All I'll have to pay is $25 which is not that bad. Next time I won't make the same mistake.

The difference between me - the cheerleader and all the whiners and complainers is: If I get lemons, I make lemonade. They make sour face.
