I'm still looking for a decent place to call home when it comes to finding a job here. I was working for a local fuel delivery company (FRTL) but was let go after 9 months of employment. I have about 13 years of experience hauling just about anything except cars and cattle. 8 of those years were spent over the road. I'm basically looking for a company that will only keep me away from my family for 7-10 days at a time. If anyone can throw a few good company names out there I would greatly appreciate it. JB, Schneider and Warner are out of the question. For sh1ts and giggles I gave them all a call and they are nuts when it comes to home time and pay. It's been 3 months since I've been let go and it's driving me nuts. Again, thanks to all that reply.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I've been here for about a year now because of a family issue (my father died) and finding a trucking job other than hauling fuel is a pain in the butt. I hope for our sake that someone can help us out.

the Co. i work for has a terminal there, but they require 3 weeks min. out. G/L in your search

If you don't mind could you PM me the name of your company? Thanks in advance.

I live in Jacksonville, FL and recently a company called Cheney Brothers (CBI) has posted some job openings. They also indicate that they have openings in Pensacola. Looks like a good day job and getting home nightly. Their web site is www.cheneybrothers.com. You all might be able to get something with them.

May Trucking has a terminal in Pensacola but you will be out at least 3-4 weeks at a time. Nice company though.

Oh, and last I heard there was somewhat of a hiring freeze there at May. They are picky on who they choose so keep that in mind. A lot of applications come in, not many even get to the orientation point. Maybe one or two a month I heard. Good luck.

There used to be some work over there, worth a try. Not much around pensacola, maybe paper mills north of there, good luck.
