The company realized drivers weren’t doing their post trips, have spent a bunch of money on the road for trailer repairs, and have decided to do an inspection lane. They’re figuring if they catch 5 out of 10 trailers, that’s 50% of the inbound trailers that are being inspected. If you ever go to the Colton drop yard, England has 3 lanes coming in right in front of the shop doing inspections. Ours will be on a smaller scale.

I’m on the yeah sure side of the fence right now. Yes, cynical. If it works, I’m all for it. Heck, it only took 6.5 years for them to listen to all the gripping etc.
I Am aware of how the inspection lane process works. Prime has it as well and that’s one of the places I works before here. They did an outstanding job. If you had any issues with your truck or trl, they also wrote it up for you and put you into shop status.

They need one,I'm getting tired of having to fix issues, had 2 tires on this trl I picked up, that I had to get changed.

It's about time drivers start getting held accountable, because if you don't let the shop know of issues, than how will the company know, it's not there fault.

Had to put my truck in the volvo dealer when hometime started last week , was in there two days. Had to replace a wire in the battery box that was causing my truck to derate and throw after treatment codes, looked like a mechanic poked it with a tester and it corroded up. Also had to pull the EGR cooler off and clean it out since was plugged up. Had to put it back in yesterday because was leaking coolant from the heater core, thankfully was just an O-ring and not whole heater core needing replaced. Truck oughta pull better now, lol!

One of the problems with the inspection lane process is when you come in short on time and need to drop and hook quickly, you can’t.
