I am sure once Covenant knows you have that pending misdemeanor, they will tell you to call them when it is cleared.

i agree with the majority of ppl here myself when they say you should get the legal stuff striaght first and then hit the road. if you feel confident that you can explain the situation to covenant and they bring you on then you gotta account for the unpredictable side of trucking too. what if you get stuck out on a run with a breakdown or logistics flub and can't make it in to the court date. i totally understand about the job thing cuz im lookin for work myself now, got a gig cookin though:biggrin_25525:.
just tough it out the best you can and hopefully you can get through the court stuff. i hope you have a lawyer to represent you too. as 5mouths2feed's point states, the court system isn't geared towards helping the defendant out, it's geared to whose palm got greased or who owes who favors. i would definately take care of the court stuff first. the girlfriend deal however, i would play that by ear. if she doesn't want to deal with the fact that you would be gone a lot while on the road then tell her to kick rocks. the time between being alone and finding someone that you connnect with is supposed to be used to get yourself straight. so many people in this world put up with so much bs just to have someone say those 3 words;"i love you" that they will put theirselves through misery. don't be a fool, dude. play smart.
    im out.

Sounds like it's straight here. Get the legal stuff straight and be honest with the company. If they don't like it move on to another.

if the application asks if you've been convicted then don't mention it. if it asked if you've been convicted or charged then mention it.

girfriends are cheaper to rent anyways... lol.. I'm just kidding.

:yes2557:Any app I've ever filled out says you cannot have any open court dates pending, either traffic offense or criminal. I wouldn't trust any trucking company to get me home for court on time. :yes2557:
