Keep a few 2’ lengths of 2”x4” in your truck..
Not being able to dump your bags shouldn’t have stop you from moving forward..
Perhaps find another company that isn’t so cheap.. No reason to be driving a Studebaker now that it’s 2019..FlaSwampRat and Intothesunset Thank this. -
Tell your company to buy t680s they added some idiot proofing. You can only go up to 5mph with the bags deflated and it’ll auto inflate after that.
Intothesunset and DAX_ Thank this. -
My t880 has the ability to both dump the bags and over inflate them. It's one of the things I like about the truck. If someone drops the trailer too high and it sits at a farm for live loading (milking directly into the trailer) it's convenient to be able to over inflate. My truck also has forward and rear diff lock with interaxle lock. It also has disc brakes, and an 18 speed manual transmission..... Now only if it didn't have that darn paccar engine lol
FlaSwampRat and Intothesunset Thank this. -
I drove 20 miles once with the suspension dumped. It made a terrible noise. I haven't done it again in 20 years.Intothesunset, DAX_ and ZVar Thank this.

Oh! I thought he meant on the fuel pump.
I was getting excited.
Was gonna talk about putting in a Stinger and making her run !Intothesunset Thanks this. -
Look for something like this under your seat.
Top middle turns it on , up and down does just that and green resets themAttached Files:

Rubber blocks and walking beams...that was the first many years of my driving. New fangled air bags, who needs them...that was my thinking when I drove the first truck with them.FlaSwampRat and Intothesunset Thank this.

I agree with above. Spring ride is the solution to have no air leaking from airbags. There will be none.
And low air bags will destroy a rear end with a gross combined weight of 160,000 or anything that affects the driveline angles. -
I don't know about destroying but it's defenitly not good. Sounded to me like the trans though as the noise was right underneath.
I had to do it couple months back. Blown airbag. 60 miles to dump and 35 miles back to yard. NO ONE was coming to help. And I wasn't spending the night.ZVar and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
