If you pick up or deliver at military installations, you could have issues. Most if not all weapons are to be registered with that post before entry with it. That has nothing to do with the state's law either.

I ALWAYS carried before....24, 7, 365.
After quitting OTR for 2 years things seem different. Now, I'm still feeling it out to see how it is around the ports and how often I will be going there.
I've been a legally armed citizen for nearly 13 years and I feel naked without my 1911 on my hip. (pictured below just for giggles)

What really pisses me off is that I'm better trained and educated in its use than the dimwits that are allowed to carry in "most" of the places that I cannot. -
Its best to rent a motel room for your weapon...most bases wont let you in there period. They wont hold it at the gate for you.
Having said that...I did check mine at the gate at Red River Army Depot (near Texarkana) one time. I put it and my accident camera in a locked briefcase and checked it at the gate....they didn't ask what was in it and I didn't tell. -
your missing the point roadmedic if your concealed carry piece is holstered on your person then go ahead and check your not going to find anything and anyone short of a L.E.O. will not be putting there hands on my body so they will not know its there the sheep can be sheep that their right and in the few cases where you go to a "high" security location you can check your gun with the M.P., LEO, or corrections officer running the gate

On the topic...
It would be AWESOME if those of us that have the permits were allowed to carry without worrying company policy.
Laws have been passed in some states that took precedent over company policies (carrying in vehicles on company property)...and I knew it wouldn't be long before it was introduced into trucking, but it will take some time and responsible behavior on our part to get it accepted.
Good luck and God speed to OOIDA. -
Sierra Army Depot will hold your weapon for you......and then return it when you have dropped the load....

I guess you missed the point.
If the truck is searched, you will be subject as well.
You do whatever you want, I just say it how it is. -
I been at this quite a while...my truck has been searched MANY times.
I have never been searched, never even seen a hint of anybody thinking about searching me...not at military bases, ports, foreign trade zones, shippers, receivers...nowhere. -
I said you are subject to search. I did not say you would be.
They will look you over.
